TL;DR

Our full Privacy Policy can be found below

- this section is solely to outline some important points in plain English:
  • USER TRACKING:
    • Websites typically profile you in order figure out what ads to push to your screen. Here however this conventional push-model is reversed so that instead of us pushing stuff to your screen, you can just travel into any screen that interests you. This completely circumvents any need for us to "figure you out" by keeping a record of what you like - so we don't.
    • We ask that we be allowed to use google analytics to monitor overall website traffic however if you decline the use of cookies we do our best to ensure that this won't be installed and in any case the website will work fine without it.
    • We ask that we be allowed to use third party plugins, mainly Stripe and Spotify (5 plugins in total). More detail on these plugins can be found below and on our cookie info page, but again, if you if you decline the use of cookies we do our best to ensure that they won't be installed and the website should work just fine. The only thing missing will be the functionality that these plugins would have provided and as a substitute we'll try to provide links to that functionality where we can.
  • LOGGING IN:
    • You don't really need to sign up to our site but if you do, your email/password is passed directly to Google on our behalf and Google provides us with access to it. Google stores this personal information on our behalf so that we can use it to confirm your online identity. We have no intention of using this information for any other purpose.
    • Alternatively, if you sign in using a third party sign in provider (eg: Google Twitter etc.. ) they may choose to pass on additional information about you (ie: name, phone number etc...), to be frank, we don't want this additional information and we have no intention of using it in any way, but we can't help what information a third party chooses to pass on.
Again this information is also passed directly to Google on our behalf and Google provides us with access to it. We trust Google to do a professional job of storing this personal information, keeping it private and deleting it (on our request or when you instruct us to do so) because they are certified by Privacy Shield.
    • If you choose to sign up to our site and are curious about specifically what personal data we access, you can download it by signing in and visiting "My Account > Settings" in the side menu.
  • POSTING:
    • By signing up to our site you have the opportunity to create posts on our site for commercial purposes, Any post created by a user on our site will have a specific date of expiry - after which it will be deleted. By visiting "My Account" in the side menu you can choose to delete or renew these posts before their expiration date.
  • USAGE:
    • Our Terms of Service can be found here
    • Our Acceptable Use Policy can be found here
(They're a lot shorter than our Privacy Policy)

        For Example:
        • Abraham Lincoln would become:
        • Abr*********oln
    • We do this as a last ditch effort to nullify or at least mitigate the risk of Customer data falling into the wrong hands. So while the downloaded JSON document should be 100% machine readable, in its partially masked state it will not be 100% accurate.
    • Once downloaded, a Customer will need to:
      • Open the file.
      • Locate the *******
      • Replace with what the Customer will know to be the correct data.

      • A "Casual Internet Consensus".
        • Occasionally we will create binary voting polls and invite our users to cast their vote. This is in order to reach what we term as a "Casual Internet Consensus" on a general matter of interest. "Casual" because not only is a user free to abstain from voting, but also because they are just as free to vote as many times as they like.

          • The voting system is completely anonymized:
            • For each user who deigns to vote:
              • we do record the voting choices of that user
              • we do not record the identity of that user who made those choices.
            • We tally the anonymized votes daily and add them to the votes of the previous day, in order to reach a casual consensus, via the internet.
By using the seroster.io website and engaging in any voting, you acknowledge that such voting data is anonymized and consequently permanently irretrievable.

Here they can chose to download all their data or terminate their account. As stated if a Customer terminates their Account, any public activity on their Account prior to deletion may remain stored on Seroster Properties. • Customer "Settings"
    • In "My Account > Settings" a Customer can download all the data Seroster.io has on their account; this data can be downloaded in either Human Readable or Machine Readable (i.e. JSON) format.
    • Upon download for either format:
      • We will attempt to partially mask any sensitive data.
This means that data items like:
        • the Customer's email address
        • the Customer's name (if included)
        • the Customer's phone number (if included)
      • Will be partially covered up inside both the text and JSON file with "****"
        For Example:
        • Abraham Lincoln would become:
        • Abr*********oln
    • We do this as a last ditch effort to nullify or at least mitigate the risk of Customer data falling into the wrong hands. So while the downloaded JSON document should be 100% machine readable, in its partially masked state it will not be 100% accurate.
    • Once downloaded, a Customer will need to:
      • Open the file.
      • Locate the *******
      • Replace with what the Customer will know to be the correct data.
    • Finally, as a secondary security measure we also omit any computer generated unique identifier or 'uid' associated with your account.
